Luego de su reciente gira internacional llevando su música al “Bentonia Blues Festival”, Mississippi (el Festival de Blues más antiguo de los Estados Unidos), compartiendo escenario con la leyenda del género Jimmy ‘Duck’ Holmes, y habiendo participado también del ‘Arkansas Country Blues & String Band Festival’ en Arkansas, el dúo integrado por Viviana Dallas en voz y Marcelo Ponce en guitarra y voz presentarán en este concierto su nuevo disco editado por Epsa Music y realizado con el apoyo de INAMU.
El disco fue realizado en conmemoración a ‘Crazy Blues’, el primer blues grabado por Mamie Smith el 10 de agosto de 1920. El trabajo está integrado por una selección en su mayoría de clásicos de la década del ’20 y dos temas que pertenecen a Marcelo Ponce. Originalmente, el proyecto iba a grabarse en 2020 pero la pandemia pospuso los planes hasta que finalmente lograron concretarlo.

En 2024 el dúo ha participado de giras internacionales llevando su música en 2024 al “Bentonia Blues Festival”, Mississippi, USA (el Festival de Blues más antiguo de los Estados Unidos), compartiendo escenario con la leyenda Jimmy ‘Duck’ Holmes. También en 2024 ha participado del ‘Arkansas Country Blues & String Band Festival’, Arkansas, USA. En ambas giras por Estados Unidos en 2024, ha realizado además workshops y conciertos en organismos oficiales y en la Radio Pública de Arkansas, entre otros. Ha participado además del Festival “Ecuador Jazz 2009” (Quito,Ecuador) y en 2011 de los Festivales “Arts International Festival” en Francis Marion University, Florence (SC, USA) y “7th Annual Blues by the Sea” en Freshfields Village Green (Kiawah Island, SC, USA) Su música sonó así en Estados Unidos, la cuna del Blues. En 2013 ha participado de los prestigiosos Festivales ‘Blues al Río’ (Guayaquil) y ‘Quito Blues’ (Quito), ambos en Ecuador. A este último también ha sido invitado en 2019 brindando conciertos y workshops. Desde 1998, Viviana Dallas y Marcelo Ponce dirigen coros y agrupaciones vocales orientadas a la música gospel.
Como Dallas-Ponce, tienen varios discos editados por el sello EPSA Music Argentina, que pueden encontrarse en las tiendas virtuales más importantes del mundo. Uno de estos discos ha sido grabado con Stefan Grossman, en su gira 2010 por Argentina, organizada por Dallas Ponce con el apoyo de la Embajada de Estados Unidos en Argentina. Han compartido escenario y/o acompañado a figuras del ámbito local como Cristina Dall, Miguel Botafogo, Hugo González Neira, entre muchos otros y también junto a figuras del exterior como el reconocido director de coros de música Gospel, Gregory Hopkins (Ministro de Música de la Convent Avenue Baptist Church de Nueva York), Zakiya Hooker (hija del legendario bluesman John Lee Hooker), Stefan Grossman, Shrimp City Slim, Drink Small y James Cotton, entre otros.
