Socios de Tijuana presenta su nuevo trabajo “Pueblo Chico”, un EP de seis canciones que explora distintos géneros y colaboraciones. En diálogo con Lucas Dalesio, guitarrista y coros, repasamos el proceso creativo, la experiencia de grabar con Blues Motel y los desafíos de hacer rock en tiempos de playlists efímeras.
Diversidad como bandera
—Escuchando Pueblo Chico pensé: acá hay una búsqueda muy puntual en cada tema. ¿Cómo eligieron esas seis canciones?
Lucas sonríe y recuerda que tenían una lista más larga. “Venimos tocando hace años, había canciones que quedaron afuera de otros discos. Esta vez buscamos diversidad. Queríamos que cada tema tuviera un género marcado: hay funk, punk, boogie, folk. Aunque siempre predomina el rock and roll, que nos guía como identidad”, explica el guitarrista de Socios de Tijuana.
El músico aclara que la decisión de grabar seis temas fue práctica: “Un disco de diez o quince canciones requiere presupuesto y organización. Preferimos cerrar en un número que se sintiera compacto y a la vez tuviera aire para sorprender”.
Una colaboración soñada
—¿Y cómo surgió la participación de Gaba Díaz de Blues Motel en “Lo llevo puesto”?
“Fue un lujo”, admite. Se conocieron en un show en Lucille y la relación quedó abierta. “Blues Motel es una banda legendaria para nosotros. Lo invitamos y aceptó. No solo grabó, también propuso cambios de palabras, interpretó la letra con su impronta. Eso abre un espectro distinto. Por eso esa canción es de mis favoritas”.
Letras entre la vida y la ficción
—En cuanto a la lírica, ¿cuánto hay de experiencia y cuánto de ficción?
Lucas responde que la mayoría nace de historias compartidas entre amigos: viajes, deportes, anécdotas escolares. “Siempre hay un detonante real, pero le sumamos condimentos. Lo importante es dejar abierta la interpretación: cada oyente puede apropiarse de la canción y darle su propio sentido”.
El guitarrista sostiene que ahí está “la magia de la música: que alguien sienta que le habla directamente, aunque uno haya escrito otra cosa”.
El rock frente a la era digital
En medio de la charla, Lucas reconoce que hoy los discos se consumen distinto: “Nosotros crecimos comprando CDs y escuchándolos de punta a punta. Ahora competís contra un YouTuber o un tutorial. Tenés que adaptarte, sin traicionar tu esencia. Es un desafío, pero también una oportunidad de llegar a más gente”.
Han recibido mensajes desde México y otros países gracias a las plataformas digitales. “Antes era impensado. Ahora subís un video a YouTube y alguien en otro continente te descubre. Es el doble filo de la democracia digital”.
Grabación, disciplina y crecimiento
—¿En qué sienten que más crecieron desde los primeros discos?
“Cada grabación es un aprendizaje”, asegura Lucas. Socios de Tijuana ensaya tres veces por semana, lo que les da solidez técnica. En este último trabajo decidieron trabajar más en estudio y profundizar en cada género. “El anterior lo grabamos en vivo, este fue más de laboratorio. Nos hizo crecer como músicos. Y además, hace casi dos años que estamos con la misma formación, eso se nota en la química en vivo”.
Lo que viene: shows y cruces generacionales
La banda prepara el show de presentación oficial en Club Cultural Bula, Almagro, el 8 de noviembre. Habrá invitados y algunas sorpresas. Además, nos adelantó que compartirán escenario con Ratones Paranoicos. “Es un sueño. Admiramos a Juanse y a toda la banda. Ver cómo trabajan, cómo manejan el escenario, es una clase magistral”, dice Lucas.
Laberintos y canciones favoritas
El nuevo material de Socios de Tijuana incluye “Laberinto mental”, una canción que refleja las encrucijadas de la vida. “Todos pasamos por esos bloqueos, ya sea en lo personal o en lo creativo. Hoy me siento sin laberintos, pero mañana no sé. Así es la vida”, admite.
—Si tuvieras que recomendar solo una canción para enganchar al público, ¿cuál elegirías?
Lucas duda, y al final nombra dos: “Lo llevo puesto”, que es la colaboración con Gaba y “Te di mi amor”, un rock and roll que en vivo enciende a la gente. “Ahí pasa algo distinto, la conexión es inmediata”.
Identidad y eclecticismo
Cuando se le pregunta qué diría de Socios de Tijuana en una definición breve, no duda: “Somos una banda de rock and roll argentina y de amigos. Venimos del sur del conurbano y nos conocemos de toda la vida”.
En cuanto a gustos, asegura que las plataformas ampliaron su espectro musical: “Escucho desde Clapton hasta britpop como Oasis o The Smiths, incluso electrónica. Todo se filtra en algún arreglo. Hoy la música se mezcla más y eso nos nutre”.
