La talentosa cantante y compositora argentina Avru presenta su nuevo EP “La Buena Fortuna”, una obra que refleja su evolución artística y su compromiso con la autenticidad y la creatividad. Energía, emoción y esperanza se fusionan en un sonido pop fresco que inaugura una nueva era en su carrera.
No es solo un estreno musical. Es un renacer.
Nacida en Santa Fe en 2001, Avru comenzó su historia en la música a los 8 años, formándose durante más de una década en la escuela coral Carlos Guastavino de Santo Tomé. Allí desarrolló una base lírica sólida, disciplina escénica y una conciencia vocal que la marcarían para siempre.
Pero, años después, esa niña que cantaba ópera en un escenario estático empezó a preguntarse qué más podía ser.
Una nueva identidad para una nueva etapa
—Cambiaste tu nombre artístico, tu sonido y hasta tu estética. ¿Cuál fue el disparador?
—Esta identidad la vengo buscando hace mucho. Pasé por un montón de etapas y nunca terminaba de sentirme del todo cómoda. Cuando conocí a Pepe Pagan, con quien hice el EP, encontré una pieza clave para transformarme. Quise soltar lo que fui y empezar desde otro lugar. Avru es más yo, más libre.
La decisión de dejar atrás el nombre Abril Lerman marcó el inicio simbólico de esta evolución. Así nació AVRU: una artista que abraza sus raíces, pero se anima al riesgo.
—¿Y por qué el turquesa como color insignia?
—Es mi color favorito, lo relaciono con el agua, el cielo, la calma. Sin darme cuenta, todo lo que elijo es turquesa. Llevarlo a la música ayuda a reforzar quién soy y la imagen que quiero transmitir.
El turquesa es bandera. Y destino.
La composición como descubrimiento
Componer desde la búsqueda: salir de la zona conocida
El trabajo con el productor Pepe Pagan empezó a través de videollamadas: él desde Miami, ella desde Buenos Aires. Compartieron melodías, ideas, referencias visuales y musicales hasta construir las bases de las primeras canciones del EP.
—¿Cómo fue el proceso compositivo?
—Al principio nos mandábamos melodías nomás. Pepe me pidió que armara una lista de Spotify con referencias del sonido al que quería llegar. Pero mis influencias de siempre son Evanescence, Nightwish, Adele… y la idea era salir de esa zona conocida y explorar un pop más popular.
Así descubrió música que no estaba en su radar:
—Tuve que meterme en un universo que no escuchaba: Miley Cyrus, Britney, artistas italianos… Conocí música nueva, me encantó. Y cada vez que escucho este EP pienso: wow, puedo hacer mucho más de lo que imaginaba.
Cuando las pistas tenían forma, se sentaron a escribir…
—Nos juntábamos a charlar de qué queríamos hablar en cada canción. A veces los versos salían solos, otras eran palabras sueltas hasta que todo encajaba. Fue mágico compartir la composición.
Antes de este lanzamiento, Avru ya había dado pasos importantes: en 2022 participó en el certamen televisivo Canta Conmigo Ahora, donde se lució con interpretaciones líricas y fue semifinalista. Luego llegaron shows en espacios emblemáticos como The Roxy y La Trastienda, además de primeros reconocimientos institucionales.
Pero algo todavía no encajaba del todo. Y se animó a probar:
—Tuve que empezar clases de canto desde cero. Cantar ópera es mi lugar seguro, pero acá necesitaba otra técnica completamente distinta. En el estudio muchas veces decía: esto no me sale. Fue fuerte… pero también liberador.
—Además, ahora bailás…
—¡Sí! Antes era trípode y yo quietita. Ahora hay movimiento, show, energía. Cantar y bailar exige otra respiración, otro cuerpo. Convive el miedo, pero me encanta.
El salto fue musical, físico y emocional: de la solemnidad al disfrute total.
Avru en primera persona
El videoclip representa el inicio de una etapa más fresca, alegre y luminosa dentro del universo de Avru.
«Lo trabajé junto a Mayo Vernetti: guiones, concepto, identidad visual. Fue súper colaborativo. Queríamos que música e imagen dialoguen desde un mismo lugar. La Buena Fortuna es el primer paso de un camino más definido, donde todo tiene coherencia. Este videoclip marca ese comienzo».
Reacciones y comunidad
—¿Qué dijeron tus afectos ante el cambio?
—La familia siempre pregunta por lo lírico… pero me ven feliz. Y el público re bien: comparten, lo ponen en momentos lindos, se suman. Para una artista independiente eso es todo.
—¿Sentís que tu público se amplió?
—Sí, muchísimo. Esta música llega a más gente, sobre todo a jóvenes. Lo lírico sigue en mí, pero ahora también exploro otra parte de mi identidad.
Lo que viene: escenarios y sueños
—¿Planes para presentar el EP?
—Banda nueva: piano, batería, bajo, guitarra, coros y yo. Queremos tocar muchísimo: volver a La Trastienda, recorrer el país. Y ojalá sumar cuerdas: me apasiona ese sonido.
—¿Cómo cuidás la voz con tanta exigencia?
—Vocalizo siempre, mucha hidratación, nada de humo. La voz es un instrumento que no se puede reemplazar. Y ahora la uso de otras maneras, así que la cuido el doble.
Después de años de búsqueda, disciplina y exposición, Avru se planta en un presente donde puede ser todo lo que sueña.
Soñar como motor
—Si estuvieras en el diccionario, ¿qué palabra serías?
—Soñar. Es lo que me sostiene cuando dudo. Tengo un propósito que me mueve todos los días.
—¿Y cómo te ves de acá a diez años?
—Cantando. No importa dónde, pero cantando. Porque la felicidad no es solo llegar: es el camino.
El EP La Buena Fortuna ya está disponible y es solo el inicio de una nueva era para Avru: una artista que encontró su color, su voz y, sobre todo, su verdad.
