Nonpalidece vuelve a cruzar el Atlántico sin moverse de casa. La banda presenta Hecho en Jamaica DUB, una reinterpretación profunda y espiritual de su proyecto más ambicioso, esta vez de la mano de Tippy I, uno de los productores más influyentes del reggae moderno y figura clave del colectivo Zion I Kings.
No es un remix, no es un bonus track, no es un experimento pasajero: Hecho en Jamaica DUB es una obra nueva, con identidad propia, que lleva el material original a un territorio más crudo, hipnótico y sensorial, respetando la raíz jamaicana del género.
Y lo más potente: las remezclas fueron hechas en vivo, con manipulación de sonido en tiempo real. Dub de verdad. Sin Photoshop musical.
¿Qué es el dub y por qué importa?
El dub nació en Jamaica como una forma experimental del reggae, donde el estudio se transforma en instrumento.
Bajo y batería al frente.
Voces que aparecen y desaparecen.
Ecos infinitos.
Silencios que pesan más que los acordes.
En Hecho en Jamaica DUB, Nonpalidece entra de lleno en ese lenguaje: las canciones se desarman y vuelven a nacer bajo una lógica más espiritual, donde el groove manda y la atmósfera es protagonista.
No se trata de versiones “lindas”: se trata de clima, trance y pulsación.
Tippy I: el arquitecto del sonido
Detrás de esta expansión está Tippy I, fundador de I Grade Records y miembro central de Zion I Kings, el colectivo que redefinió el reggae roots contemporáneo desde las Islas Vírgenes.
Su forma de trabajar es radicalmente orgánica:
no edita, no corta, no “corrige”: toca el sonido en tiempo real.
El dub que construye no es quirúrgico, es ritual. Y esa visión se impregna en todo el disco.
Un cruce real entre Jamaica y Argentina
Néstor, voz de Nonpalidece, lo cuenta así:
“A Tippy yo lo conocí primero por su obra. El encuentro personal se dio en el Picnic Fest en Costa Rica, donde nosotros tocábamos y él se presentaba con Protoje. Coincidimos en el hotel, compartimos charlas y comidas, y ahí se generó el vínculo. Más allá de lo musical, conectamos desde un lugar natural: somos contemporáneos, tenemos la misma edad y Tippy es una persona muy abierta a que el reggae se expanda fuera de Jamaica. Hecho en Jamaica DUB está versionado desde su visión artística.”
El resultado es un puente sonoro genuino entre dos culturas que comparten una misma raíz: la música como forma de resistencia, sanación y celebración.
“Revolution DUB”: el corazón del álbum
Dentro del disco, “Revolution” aparece como el focus track del lanzamiento.
Es la síntesis perfecta: bajo profundo, efectos envolventes, espacio, aire, tensión y groove.
Es una pista que no se escucha: se atraviesa.
De proyecto a movimiento cultural
Hecho en Jamaica dejó de ser solo un disco hace rato.
Se convirtió en un proyecto integral, que sumó:

Uno de los hitos fue su presentación en el Movistar Arena, un show que marcó un antes y un después para la banda: convocatoria masiva, invitados y un registro audiovisual que hoy funciona como documento histórico.
