Ariel Fainck no puede señalar un momento exacto en el que decidió cantar. Para él, la música siempre estuvo ahí, como algo natural, cotidiano y casi inevitable. Ya en la primaria se subía a los actos, formó parte de un pequeño coro escolar y encontraba en la soledad el espacio más sincero para explorar su voz. Ese vínculo inicial, casi intuitivo, terminó por afianzarse cuando, durante un evento de la comunidad judía, se subió por primera vez solo a un escenario. Lo que sucedió después fue una mezcla de sorpresa, emoción y certeza: el público lo felicitó, lo elogió y le mostró que ese camino podía ser algo más que un hobby. A partir de allí comenzó a estudiar canto con disciplina y constancia, dedicándose a la técnica y al entrenamiento diario.
Su recorrido musical fue variado desde el principio: en la niñez lo atrapó el rap español; más adelante llegaron Arjona, Luis Miguel, Bisbal y Fonsi; después el reggaetón y el pop urbano; y, a medida que crecía, aparecieron también el tango, la ópera, ópera rock el rock nacional e internacional. Esa diversidad terminó por construir un criterio claro: cuando canta a capela, el género deja de importar. Lo que manda es la voz.
En ese contexto se entiende por qué su primer lanzamiento oficial fue una nueva versión de “El centro de mi corazón”, la canción compuesta por el argentino Alejandro Vezzani e interpretada por Chayanne hace más de tres décadas. Fue su productor, Darío, quien se la mostró convencido de que podía encontrar allí un puente perfecto con la esencia de Ariel. Y él lo sintió así desde el primer segundo.
—¿Por qué elegiste “El centro de mi corazón” como carta de presentación?
—Porque es mi zona de confort emocional. Yo crecí escuchando baladistas, desde Arjona hasta Chayanne. Cuando Darío me la mostró sentí que era una canción adelantada a su época. Es vieja, sí, pero suena actual. Y la letra es preciosa. Cuando la escuché por primera vez dije: “Es esta”. Había otras opciones, pero esa me ganó a mí.
La devolución del propio Vezzani fue uno de los momentos más fuertes del proceso.
—¿Qué te dijo Vezzani cuando escuchó tu interpretación?
—Primero, que le gustó. Después, que pude transmitir lo que él quiso transmitir. Era mi mayor duda: si podía hacer sentir lo que el compositor sintió. Que él me diga que sí fue un alivio enorme y una satisfacción.
—¿Qué te devolvió la gente después del lanzamiento?
—Mucho cariño. De la familia y del público. Algunos me decían: “La escuchaba cuando era joven y me emocionó volver a oírla”. Y otros, más chicos, directamente no sabían que existía. Eso estuvo buenísimo. Lo que más destaco es que no hubo hate. En redes hoy es fácil insultar, pero yo recibí apoyo y elogios. Es muy motivador.
Más allá del éxito del primer single, Ariel Fainck no siente que deba limitarse a covers ni que deba apurarse a mostrar canciones propias.
—¿Qué viene ahora? ¿Más covers, temas originales, composiciones tuyas?
—Depende de la canción. No elijo por si es cover, si es mía o si es de otro compositor. Elijo si siento que la canción me queda, si puedo expresarla, si puedo transmitir al público lo que quiere decir. Yo compongo, pero todavía no publico nada porque soy muy crítico. Igual no descarto que en algún momento haya un tema propio.
La conversación sobre la composición deriva, inevitablemente, en los miedos propios de cada artista. Y mientras ese proceso avanza, su mirada está puesta también en el vivo. Hasta ahora, Ariel se conectó con su público a través de plataformas y redes sociales, pero el escenario empieza a convertirse en un deseo cada vez más fuerte.
—¿Cómo proyectás tu carrera? ¿Te imaginás pronto en vivo?
—Sí. Tengo muchas ganas. La presentación en vivo es otra experiencia. Me encanta que la gente escuche la canción en su intimidad, solos, en su momento personal. Pero también quiero sentir ese ida y vuelta del escenario, la energía de la gente. Son dos formas distintas de conectar y las dos son necesarias. Mi sueño es llegar a la mayor cantidad de personas posible. Buenos Aires, toda Argentina, Sudamérica… donde sea.
Ariel piensa su futuro con un norte claro: ser un puente emocional. Se define como un intérprete que traduce el sentir de los compositores y lo entrega al público para que cada persona pueda encontrarse con su propia sensibilidad. Por eso, su ambición no es solo profesional: también tiene un costado humano. “Mientras haya una persona que no me escuchó y a la que yo pueda acompañar con una canción, siento que mi trabajo no está terminado”, dice.
Con un single publicado y un horizonte que se abre con fuerza, Ariel Fainck emerge como una de esas voces nuevas capaces de combinar honestidad, técnica y emoción. “El centro de mi corazón” fue apenas el primer paso. Lo que viene —covers, originales o composiciones propias— promete un crecimiento tan sincero como su manera de cantar.
